58th Annual Francis J. Robinson Memorial International Tournament
August 5-9, 2015
The Francis J. Robinson Memorial International Tournament is named after a local tennis player, Lt. Francis J. Robinson, a young serviceman who died in a military flight training mission in July 1958. A group of Lt. Robinson’s friends started a small tennis tournament in his honor that same summer. The “Robinson” has grown into a local event that has drawn between 200-400 participants annually, ranging in divisions from 10 & under to 65 & over and is considered one of the longest running community tennis tournaments in the United States.
Here are several significant features of the Robinson this year:
- Junior players – First 50 Robinson rookies enter the tournament for FREE! 😀
- Local players may partner with a non-local player in doubles events
- Play begins on Wednesday, August 5th
- Door prizes, player of the day prizes, and awards for best dressed doubles teams – updates on the Events & Activities page!
- Depending on draw size and court availability, some Open division matches may start as early as 4:00pm
- Individual start times posted online Monday, August 3rd

2015 Robinson Entry Form, Tournament Rules, and Schedule of Play
$10 late registration fee assessed after 5pm, Sunday, July 26th. No entries or changes will be accepted after 5pm, Friday, July 31st.
Please read Entry Form & Rules carefully for all details. This year play begins on Wednesday with Singles, followed by Thursday Doubles and Friday Mixed Doubles – be sure to review the Schedule of Play for your approximate reporting times. Thank you!

We have 255 entries and 38 draws, plus 50 entries in the Kids’ 10 & Under Play Day – what an amazing bump from last year!
Individual start times will be posted on each draw Monday afternoon, August 3rd. Please open the “Draws” link to find your start time.
