Mid-Atlantic was their second opponent and they lost 1-2. Three tough match-ups with two second set tiebreakers and the third court won in a superset! On the final day of flight play, the numbers were tight… Midwest needed to sweep Texas plus Southern needed to defeat Mid-Atlantic. Midwest won 2-1 and unfortunately Southern lost. This left Mid-Atlantic finishing the flight 3-0 therefore advancing to the semis. Mid-Atlantic ended up taking 3rd place, Intermountain Nevada took 2nd, and Southern California were the National Champs. Such close competition and hard-fought matches!
