2019 FALL – ALL OUR TEAMS WIN THEIR LEAGUES
Congrats to all three PHTH teams for winning their leagues! The 6.5 Combo Women’s team won Flight 1 with a record of 6 wins/3 losses and advanced to District Playoffs on January 4, 2020. The Mixed teams move straight to Midwest Championships on February 15, 2020. The 7.0 team went undefeated with 10 wins! 8.0 finished with 6-2 record. Awesome!

Hats off to three of our players helping other SEMTA teams advance to Midwest Playoffs! Barb Lynch played for Franklin Athletic Club’s 55 & Over 9.0 Women who placed 3rd at Sectionals! Dan Johnson captained a 55 & Over 8.0 Men’s team out of Peachtree Tennis Club. Dan recruited Andrew Schrand along for their successful ride to a 2nd place finish at Sectionals!

District Champions! What a season! The PHTH 2.5 Women dominated their competition with 7 wins and only 1 loss during the season. As League Champions they advanced to District Playoffs where, once again, they ruled the competition by winning all three of their matches! The team headed to State Playoffs to face West Hills Athletic Club/Kalamazoo for the State title. Two of the three courts ended up in a third set super-breaker, and after close battles the team narrowly missed the win. Unbelievable season, 2.5 Women – be proud of your efforts!

League Champs! Congratulations to our 7.0 Men on clinching the League Champ title with one match left to play! 8 wins and 1 loss is an incredible record. They advance to District Playoffs on September 6th where they’ll play Pine Lake Country Club/West Bloomfield – GOOD LUCK!

League Champs! Going into the final match, the team was in a must-win-all-3-courts situation. Plus, the last place team needed to win their final match to push the PHTH into first. Both of those happened, so the PHTH edged ahead to win by one individual/court win. Congrats! Districts will be held at Wessen Indoor Tennis in Pontiac on April 27th — good luck!

League Champs! District Champs! State Champs! MIDWEST CHAMPS! The team advanced to Midwest Sectionals on October 5 & 6 in Fort Wayne, IN where they won with a 3 & 1 record. Their only loss was to Indiana, and their total of 9 match wins and only 3 matches lost earned them the title. Congratulations! The team advanced to NATIONALS in Mobile, Alabama. WELL DONE!
