Congrats to the PHN Huskies, Saint Clair Saints #1 Singles, Jamy Brooks, Marysville Vikings, and Armada Tigers! It was a hot and windy State Finals weekend, but the high school girls had a great showing on the courts.
The Division 1 tournament hosted 27 teams where the Huskies tied with two teams for 16th in the state. The competition was impressive as two teams tied for 1st place (Ann Arbor Pioneer and Bloomfield Hills), three teams tied for 4th, and two teams tied for 12th.
Marysville and Saint Clair both finished 17th (4 teams tied for 17th), and Armada finished 21st with 26 teams in the Division 3 playoff. Detroit Country Day was the champ. Division 3 finals were also competitive with a tie at 6th, a three-team tie at 12th & 17th, and five landing at 21st.
Kudos to all the girls on outstanding 2021 seasons. You have made your families, schools and the PHTH tennis family proud!
