The individual match scores say it all – the Midwest teams put up a valiant fight! Barb’s team took second in their flight with Southern California having one more match win. Their loss this afternoon to the Middle States section kept them from the top spot, and not surprising the match came down to one court’s 3rd set breaker!
Carl’s flight was won by Texas who went undefeated. And the Midwest team ended up in third place, missing second by only 4 games!
Congratulations to both teams and all the players for an outstanding season and giving it your all at Nationals. Your success earned you a trip to play the best USTA teams in the country. Well done!
