2020 Robinson Canceled
May 5, 2020
After careful consideration of the latest updates and evolving situation with COVID-19, unfortunately we have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Robinson.
The health and well-being of our tennis community, both on and off the court, is our priority. We will greatly miss the players, family, and friends who continue to make our Blue Water Area’s summer tournament a success each year.
As state and local government officials continue to provide guidance on reopening our area, we look forward to players making their way back on the court. We appreciate our tennis community’s understanding, and our thoughts are with everyone affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

The 63rd Annual Francis J. Robinson Memorial International Tournament will be held in Summer 2021. “The Robinson” is named after a local tennis player, Lt. Francis J. Robinson, a young serviceman who died in a military flight training mission in July 1958. A group of Lt. Robinson’s friends started a small tennis tournament in his honor that same summer. The Robinson has grown into a local event that has drawn between 200-400 participants annually, ranging in divisions from 10 & under to 60 & over and is considered one of the longest running community tennis tournaments in the United States.
