Special Guest – Luke Jensen launches Robinson week!

Monday, July 31st – Doubles Drills, Point Play, and Strategy!

Touch The Fence (TTF)

Tuesday, August 1st @ 4:30pm

TTF – Get in the game – $1 to enter TTF! Register at the front desk in the Tennis House. TTF is a very fast-paced, strategic “doubles” game where each player is in it for themselves! Balls are constantly fed into play after a miss. If at any time a player doesn’t get a racket on a ball, they’re out! When 4 players are left standing, TTF begins – players “touch the fence” during play if they miss a shot. When 2 players are left it’s a drop-shot maker’s dream! It’s one of the junior players’ favorite games. Adults, don’t hesitate to give it a try – all are welcome to play! Coach Steve will run a demonstration. We’ll have multiple courts compete, with playoffs for championship prize(s)!          WINNER: Ryan Davies. Congrats!

One Point Tournament

Tuesday, August 1st @ 4:30pm

One Point Tournament – Tennis fans, all ages, all skill levels, can get in on the action! Players register with a $1 entry at the front desk in the Tennis House. There are no seeded players in this draw, and it’s all or nothing! Opponents play one point; winner advances to the next round. Champion receives the prize!          WINNER: John Mason – great job!

10 & Under Play Day

Friday, August 4th @ 3-4pm

Our biggest Kid’s Day ever with 80+ kids joining in for a FUN play day! Kid-sized courts & equipment get rallies started right away! By using 36 foot Red ball courts and 60 foot Orange ball courts, smaller rackets, and low-pressure balls, kids gain experience in a no-pressure environment! Contests, crafts, games, prizes, refreshments, snacks and most of all, FUN!  Thank you to our sponsor, Michigan Mutual, Inc.!

ALS Awareness

This week we are honoring Port Huron native, Scott Matzka, and helping increase awareness about ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis), the progressive neuromuscular disease he is fighting for which there is no known cause or cure. The Matzka family owned a sporting goods store in Port Huron years ago, and it was one of the first locations in town that sold tennis rackets. As a local tennis family, we are sharing his information and shining a light on this disease. For more information about Scott, his battle with ALS, or to make a donation please visit http://scottmatzka.com/. Also look for Scott on Facebook or on Twitter @ScottMatzka or by searching for #myturn4als. Look for the MyTurn logo and information this week at the Robinson!

MyTurn Jersey Raffle – Congratulations to the winners of the autographed jerseys – Detroit Tigers Michael Fullmer won by Don Murray, University of Michigan Jim Harbaugh won by Mike Smith, Redwings Steve Yzerman won by Larry Fajardo! Thank you to everyone for participating in the raffle and supporting Scott Matzka. All week at the #60thRobinson players, family and friends taking a their turn!
